Anthony's Heating believes in green energy heating and cooling, like Geothermal.

Outdoor air temperatures change significantly throughout the year, as temperatures underground stay relatively constant. The earth absorbs and stores approximately 47% of the sun's solar energy. As a result, the temperature of the earth four to six feet below grade is relatively moderate and stable. The underground temperature in the upstate New York climate remains in the low 50 degree range year round.
The geothermal heat pump system takes advantage of this stored energy by using it to provide the most energy efficient heating and cooling system available.
Geothermal systems do not generate heat;  they transfer heat from one place to another. These systems have a heat exchanger and what is commonly referred to as a closed loop system is buried in the ground and circulates a water solution through a series of piping circuits. This water solution absorbs the stored underground warmth and delivers it back to the geothermal heat pump/heat exhanger located in the home. The geothermal heat pump unit then transfers the heat absorbed in the earth loop throughout the home using radiant floor heat to deliver comfortable indoor temperatures during the winter. This is called a water to water system. The heat pump can also be used to transfer the heat absorbed in the earth loop to the home through forced air system using standard ducting.
These geothermal heat pump systems and heat exchanger will reverse this cycle during the cooling season to provide air conditioning. The system removes heat and humidity from the air, transfers and deposits that heat back into the earth through the same loop system. This can be accomplished through the standard ducting used in a forced air system. When the home is heated with radiant floor heating, the cooling cycle is used with wall mounted mini-split air conditioners.
